Today’s theme is PROUD. Being proud of yourself and acknowledging others achievements.

I have overcome a lot of challenges in my life.  Finally I can reflect on how I came to be proud.  This has come from the wonderful people and experiences I have had.  I am a therapist and help other people but I also take time for my own self-development.

No matter what your circumstances are show compassion for yourself.  No one is perfect.  You may look other peoples lives with envy but you do not know how it feels to be in their shoes.  Do little things each day which make you the good person you are.  These small steps need to be acknowledged. When you acknowledge them then you can feel proud of yourself.  You can also feel pride for others.  You have to be able to look in the mirror and live with yourself.  But look at yourself through the eyes of his is a very important lesson which every day I acknowledge and work on myself.

I would like to dedicate this blog to my friends and just wanted to say “I am proud to call you my friends.”

Please bare in mind that on Wednesday it is a new moon.

A New Moon is a symbolic point of attention, and a symbolic portal for new beginnings.

New Moons are a great time to set intentions for things you’d like to create, develop, cultivate, make manifest.

Here comes the quotes!

“Once social change begins, it cannot be reversed. You cannot uneducate the person who has learned to read. You cannot humiliate the person who feels pride. You cannot oppress the people who are not afraid anymore. We have seen the future, and the future is ours.”

Cesar Chavez (American Activist and Labor Organizer. 1927-1993 Founded the National Farm Workers Association.)

“Vanity and pride are different things, though the words are often used synonymously. A person may be proud without being vain. Pride relates more to our opinion of ourselves; vanity, to what we would have others think of us.”

Jane Austen (British Novelist and Writer, 1775-1817) Plus she was the author of Pride and Prejudice.

Now for the funny thought!

My mad friend has told me a very deep thought when I was searching for a joke to put on blog.

“You can tune a radio but you cant tune a fish.”

Personally I do not understand why this was told to me but I think I get it.
